Our trip to Los Angeles was not all theme parks and Hollywood, though. For starters, there were quite a few attractions near our hotel!

On our first night in LA, we went to Medieval Times in Buena Park for a 4-course dinner medieval-style (sans cutlery) and a jousting tournament.

Aside from watching gallant knights astride pure-bred horses competing in tournament games, we were also treated to displays of swordplay, falconry and even sorcery, as part of an elaborate pageant.

Ripley's Believe It Or Not! Museum held a weird and wonderful collection of artifacts and snippets of information from all over the world. His newspaper columns used to illustrate many of these.
